Responsibilities
Coordinate nursing activities and resources within clinical specialty or department.
+ Coordinate staff scheduling and educational/development activities.
+ Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care. Perform quality assurance studies and assist with implementation of quality assurance and/or improvement initiatives.
+ Serve as resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
+ Monitor departmental compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
+ May serve as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
+ May assist with marketing and advertising of programs and services.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
+ Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
+ Certified Prehospital Trauma Life Spprt is preferred.
Education:
+ Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and 3 years minimum ED or ICU experience required OR Required professional licensure at time of hire and 3 years minimum ED or ICU experience required.
Additional Preferences
Minimum of 3 years combined experience in either NICU, PICU, Peds ED.
