Insight Global is hiring an Associate Civil Engineer to join the Construction Maintenance and Services group. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the intention to convert to a full-time role for the right fit.
For the first month in the role, 5 days onsite will be required for training. Following the first month, this will become a hybrid role with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.
In this position, the Associate Civil Engineer will be reviewing structural designs and calculations from the central engineering group, will be fielding and handling questions from the fabrication shop, any RFIs (request for information) and managing models from an initial engineering package design perspective.

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience with commercial, residential, or utility civil/structural engineering projects
- Ability to review specs, calculations, and drawings
- Strong experience working in AutoDesk products like Advanced Steel or AutoCAD
- Valid drivers license and registered motor vehicle - Previous engineering experience in a fabrication shop
- Solid understanding in codes and regulations of the following: NYC building codes, American Welding Society (AWS) codes and American Institution of Steel Construction (AISC) codes
- Experience utilizing Tekla or Investor null
