    Job Description

    A client of Insight Global is looking for a SOC Analyst to join their team in Melbourne FL. The IT Security General Analyst support the Security Operations Control Center (SOCC). The SOCC is a 24/7/365 operation that requires shift rotations, weekend, after hours, or on-call support to meet program requirements. Responsibilities include:

     

    - Tier 1 security configuration hardening, incident detection/

     

    investigation and reporting to management and customer security contacts

     

    - Monitors security events to identify anomalies and possible incidents within the network

     

    - Manages Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) infrastructure and applications, including workflow management, threat hunting assignments, threat intelligence ingests, rule/alert creation and operational maintenance.

    Skills and Requirements

    2 years' experience as a level 2 SOC Analyst

     

    Ability to obtain a Public Trust

     

    Experience has a posture analyst with a networking background in cisco

     

    SIEM Tools Understanding of Windows and Linux

     

    Understanding of system logs and be familiar with log analysis.

     

    Understanding of predominant cyber-attack vectors (Buffer Overflow, Phishing, etc.)

    Security+ Certification or equivalent certification null
