Are you interested in building a new product for external customers? Amazon Devices is looking for a seasoned Software Development Engineer to play a key role in building a 0 to 1 product that enhances hybrid collaboration using AI. You will own full stack application architecture, performance engineering and launch the product to the next stage.
From the first-hand experience of solving Amazon's own internal customer problem, we realized that this product can also significantly improve the way people collaborate and is in high demand by external customers as well. Leveraging Amazon's scale, reliability, flexibility, and ease of use, we will offer customers an easy-to-manage and cost-effective solution that solves many of these pain points.
Key job responsibilities
- Help lead the team's end-to-end development, from requirements to implementation, and work closely with senior technical leaders across the org. You have a sound understanding of computer science fundamentals and practical industry experience, working across the stack.
- Build rapid prototypes for gathering customer feedback and iteratively build robust and scalable solutions by working backwards from customer and business needs.
- Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (development peers, product and project management, and service leadership).
- Mentor, grow and share the journey to deliver with high quality bar.
- Need to solve problems that span a variety of domains, e.g. device software, services as well as full automation. Write performant, secure and optimized code.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
