Northrop Grumman is seeking a **Principal / Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer** . This position will be located in **Roy, Utah** and will support the **Sentinel** program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

_This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off._

You** **’** **ll Bring These Qualifications:

+ **Principal Mechanical Engineer** : Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and with 5 years of experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; PhD with 1 years of experience

+ **Sr Principal Mechanical Engineer** : Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and with 8 years or experience; or Master's degree with 6 years of experience; PhD with 4 years of experience

Both Level Qualifications:

+ US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

+ Experience performing CAD modeling with design tools such as Siemens NX or similar

+ Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

+ Experience performing mechanical design efforts on MILCON, major infrastructure/building projects, or Aerospace and Defense programs.

+ Ability to understand and interpret requirements

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

+ US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

+ Must be able to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction

+ Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts

+ Exposure to missiles program requirements & with propulsion

+ Proficient with 3D design/2D drawing CAD in NX

+ Proficient with PDM and/or CPLM

+ Proficient with GD&T and ASME Y14.5-2009

Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00Salary Range 2: $107,800.00 - $161,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
