    Position Overview

    The Procurement Manager is responsible for executing procurement strategies and initiatives at the Morrisville site as directed by the Regional Procurement Lead.     Job Description

    What You’ll Do

    + Leads procurement activities to ensure alignment with regional strategies and organizational goals.

    + Manages and develops a team of procurement professionals, fostering a performance-driven culture that supports continuous improvement and professional development.

    + Drives initiatives to enhance and streamline procurement processes at the site, ensuring operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

    + Maintains strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring effective negotiation and optimal pricing strategies tailored to site-specific requirements.

    + Ensures accurate reporting of procurement activities and budget performance, providing insights to support regional decision-making.

    + Enforces compliance with procurement policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application and adherence to best practices across the site.

    + Collaborates with counterparts at other sites to share insights and contribute to the development of unified procurement strategies.

    + Executes initiatives and directives from the Regional Procurement Leadership to ensure site-specific objectives are met and align with wider regional goals.

    + Collaborates with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to support business goals.

    + Identifies opportunities for process improvements and drive implementation of processes.

    + Manages and develops procurement team.

    + Administers company policies such as time off, shift work, and inclement weather that directly impact employees

    + Completes required administrative tasks (e.g., timecard approvals, time off approvals, expense reports etc.)

    + Coaches and guides direct reports to foster professional development

    + Participates in the recruitment process and retention strategies to attract and retain talent, as needed

    + Addresses performance gaps, employee questions and concerns, and partners with HR as needed for resolution

    + Performs other duties, as assigned

    Knowledge and Skills

    + Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

    + Excellent customer service, presentation, team interaction and communication skills (written and verbal) across functional and inter-company boundaries.

    + Demonstrated ability to react and respond professionally to changing priorities and timelines.

    + Team oriented person who has excellent problem solving/ judgment skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy

    + Willingness to learn new skills

    + Must be flexible to support 24/7 manufacturing facility

    + Ability to coach, lead, and develop individual contributors

    + Ability to effectively present information to others

    Basic Requirements

    + Master’s degree in Business, Finance or related field, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in progressive roles in procurement; OR

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in progressive roles in procurement; OR

    + Associate’s degree in Business, Finance or related field, or a related field with 9+ years of experience in progressive roles in procurement

    + 2-5 of people management experience

    + Procurement leadership experience should include sourcing, supplier selection, risk and compliance evaluation, contract negotiation and financial analysis

    + Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate and influence are required

    + Experience and strong understanding of contracts, typical commercial terms and arrangements, and the use of master agreements, statements of work, NDAs, and other standard commercial contract forms is required

    Preferred Requirements

    + Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry

    + Experience leading strategic procurement initiatives for a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company is preferred

    + Experience in a cGMP facility or working with FDA regulations is preferred

    + Experience working for a greenfield construction project is preferred

    + Global collaboration experience is preferred
