    Description

    We are searching for a skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our team in Sacramento, California. This role involves the execution of a variety of accounting duties, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Bank Reconciliations, with a focus on ensuring accurate financial records. This role will also be involved in reporting union and prevailing wages, so prior construction industry experience is preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and manage the entire Accounts Payable (AP) process.

    • Handle all aspects of Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring prompt and accurate payments.

    • Conduct regular Bank Reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

    • Maintain the General Ledger, including the preparation of Journal Entries.

    • Participate in the Month End Close process, verifying and adjusting financial data as necessary.

    • Manage the payroll process, including Payroll Taxes and Payroll Tax Returns.

    • Handle payroll for union and non-union employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and agreements.

    Requirements

    • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

    • Experience with bank reconciliations

    • Capability to maintain and manage the general ledger

    • Familiarity with making journal entries

    • Knowledge of month end close procedures

    • Experience in managing payroll, including knowledge of payroll taxes and payroll tax returns

    • Understanding of union-related payroll requirements
