Description
In office position then the client may offer some sort of flexible/hybrid schedule for this "hands on" Controller role.
We are looking for an experienced/hands-on Controller to manage and oversee financial operations at our organization in Fort Worth, Texas. This role requires a strong background in accounting and finance, coupled with a proven ability to lead compliance, reporting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes while contributing to organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee month-end and year-end financial close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting across multiple entities.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards and implement new accounting policies and procedures as required.
• Develop and maintain a robust internal control framework to safeguard financial integrity.
• Supervise treasury operations, including cash flow management, banking relationships, and liquidity planning.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate timely and efficient audit processes.
• Oversee tax compliance activities, including filings and coordination with external tax advisors.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation strategies to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
• Provide leadership in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Monitor and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and financial management with a focus on attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems preferred
• • Strong knowledge of month-end close activities and financial statement preparation.
• Familiarity with auditing practices and budget management.
• Expertise in U.S. accounting standards and corporate compliance.
• Ability to lead and implement process improvements and automation initiatives.
CPA is highly preferred
