As a **Security Officer - Library Patrol** in **Raleigh, NC** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors, and maintaining open communication with staff and the public. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will be part of a team that values reliability, innovation, and integrity, contributing to a positive environment through teamwork and a people-first approach.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.

+ Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities.

+ Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.

+ Support emergency response activities in accordance with established protocols for government locations.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.

+ Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
