Description

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Yucaipa, California. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice entry, expense coding, and vendor payment processing.

• Reconcile vendor accounts and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Handle accounts receivable duties such as generating invoices, tracking collections, and maintaining customer payment records.

• Follow up on overdue accounts and resolve payment issues with customers effectively.

• Prepare and review AR aging reports for presentation to management.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP in all aspects of financial reporting and documentation.

• Complete journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes.

• Monitor cash flow related to accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

• Utilize accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to maintain accurate financial records.

• Collaborate with other departments to support audit preparation and other financial activities.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, particularly in AP and AR.

• Proficiency in financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and its application in financial reporting.

• Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and journal entries.

• Proven ability to manage month-end and year-end close processes.

• Advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulas and pivot tables.

• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to address discrepancies and collaborate with teams.
