Job Posting: Full Charge Bookkeeper – Construction Industry
Overview:
Join a dynamic, family-oriented contractor in the Newington area seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have a passion for organization, strong experience in QuickBooks, and a background in construction-related accounting/administration. This role includes a variety of responsibilities critical to ensuring smooth daily operations while maintaining the small-office, team-oriented culture the company prides itself on.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage all accounting and bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
+ Administer Certified Payroll processes (experience with LCP Tracker is a plus).
+ Prepare and assist in distributing bid packages.
+ Oversee essential administrative tasks such as Certificates of Insurance (COIs), Lien Waivers, and managing subcontractor relationships.
+ Perform tasks related to construction documentation and compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
+ Proven bookkeeping and accounting experience, ideally in the construction industry.
+ Familiarity with Certified Payroll processes and construction-related administrative functions is preferred.
+ QuickBooks preferred
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ A team player who thrives in a small, collaborative office setting.

Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping or similar roles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred
• Knowledge of construction accounting practices.
• Experience with certified payroll processes a plus
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Solid communication skills to collaborate with teams and external partners.
