    Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in managing invoice processing, check preparation, and other essential accounting tasks.     Responsibilities:

    • Process and code invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

    • Prepare and execute check runs, ensuring all payments are properly authorized.

    • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions for auditing purposes.

    • Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and address vendor inquiries.

    • Assist with special projects and provide support for ongoing accounting initiatives.

    • Enter financial data into accounting systems with precision and efficiency.

    • Reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy.

    • Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks to manage data and generate reports. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

    • Proficiency in processing invoices and conducting check runs.

    • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.

    • Familiarity with accounting software, including QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies effectively.
