Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Paralegal to join our legal team in Seattle. This role involves supporting attorneys and clients in bankruptcy and receivership cases, ensuring timely and accurate case management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, process, and file legal documents related to bankruptcy and receivership cases.

• Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of bankruptcy and receivership claims.

• Collect and organize information from creditors, debtors, trustees, and court clerks.

• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and answering inquiries.

• Prepare and submit Proofs of Claim and obtain necessary credit reports.

• Perform due diligence on companies and individuals regarding bankruptcy-related issues.

• Assist in preparing first-day motions and exhibits, ensuring timely submission to the courts.

• Manage case intake, claim processing, and deadlines, while maintaining accurate records and calendars.

• Utilize electronic platforms for filing and monitoring cases, as well as maintaining physical case files.

• Collaborate effectively with attorneys, legal assistants, and support staff to achieve case objectives.

Requirements

3+ in Bankruptcy Law (Debtor side preferred)
