Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing accounts payable and receivable processes, maintaining financial records, and assisting with administrative tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organizational skills and a passion for accuracy in financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable tasks, including invoice scanning, obtaining necessary approvals, and completing check runs.

• Reconcile credit card transactions and assist with work order entries, including sales tax calculations and reporting.

• Handle accounts receivable tasks by posting monthly charges to tenant accounts, processing rent payments, and preparing bank deposits.

• Support financial reporting by preparing general ledger reviews and assisting the Property Accountant with financial alignment.

• Perform administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and organizing financial documents, as well as managing incoming mail and office supplies.

• Ensure timely coding of invoices and maintain a well-organized filing system for all financial records.

Requirements • Proven experience with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice and payment management.

• Strong proficiency in account reconciliation and financial reporting.

• Familiarity with billing procedures and data entry tasks.

• Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and related financial tools.

• Experience with property management software such as AppFolio is a plus.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills to interact with vendors, tenants, and internal teams.
