Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting Department in Maynard, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to confidentiality. As part of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while contributing to important projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain operational data to ensure accuracy and integrity.

• Prepare and submit timely financial reports and submissions.

• Analyze and report critical rate information for use by Project Managers.

• Assist with gathering and preparing financial data for audits.

• Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts.

• Generate relevant reports to provide insights to management.

• Collaborate with the Controller to manage and update system rate tables.

• Provide backup support for other accounting team members during vacations or high workload periods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Minimum of five years of accounting experience is essential.

• Experience in the construction industry is preferred.

• Familiarity with Sage 300/Timberline software is a plus.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage time effectively.

• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
