Description

Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will focus on various accounting functions, including revenue recognition, billing account management, and general ledger reconciliations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Create and manage billing accounts by verifying all required documentation is provided.

• Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve billing-related tickets and issues.

• Oversee the billing ticketing system to ensure customers are accurately billed.

• Investigate and resolve disputes related to contracts, pricing tiers, and trial periods.

• Assist in the preparation of revenue recognition entries during month-end processes.

• Work with the warehouse team to identify and resolve serial number discrepancies.

• Support the operations team by reviewing go-live dates for accuracy.

• Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

• Contribute to the month-end close process by preparing necessary documentation and entries.

• Assist with special projects, external audits, and other accounting functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in revenue recognition and general accounting. Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask effectively.

• Proactive problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to resolving issues.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes, including revenue recognition.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
