As the Accounts Payable Specialist your responsibilities will include but aren't limited too:
• Process and verify vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Manage account coding and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
• Utilize accounting software systems, including ERP platforms and concur, to streamline accounts payable operations.
• Handle ACH transactions and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Perform accrual accounting tasks to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
• Conduct audits of accounts payable processes to identify and resolve any inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow and enhance financial controls.
• Maintain organized records of transactions and invoices for auditing purposes.
• Assist in implementing automated solutions for accounts payable tasks to optimize efficiency.
• Provide support during financial reviews and reporting periods as needed.
Requirements
The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist will have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is highly desirable
• Proven experience in accounts payable processes, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with accounting software systems such as ERP, Concur, and ADP Financial Services.
• Strong skills in account coding and accrual accounting.
• Familiarity with auditing procedures and best practices.
• Knowledge of ACH transactions and automated clearing house systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
