Description
We are looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join our team in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic public accounting firm, where you will manage audit engagements, oversee financial reporting, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in auditing processes and demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive audits for a variety of clients, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Develop and execute detailed audit plans and programs to assess financial statements and internal controls.
• Prepare and review financial reports, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business processes and provide tailored audit solutions.
• Supervise and mentor less experienced audit staff, providing guidance and fostering growth.
• Utilize accounting software systems, including QuickBooks and Lacerte to manage audit workflows.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and precise manner.
• Stay updated on industry standards and changes in auditing regulations to ensure best practices.
• Assist with year-end closeout procedures and other compliance-related activities as needed.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• CPA designation or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in public accounting or auditing.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Enterprise and CCH ProSystem Fx.
• Strong knowledge of audit programs, engagement processes, and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple audit engagements and meet deadlines.
