The Arc Erie County New York has been supporting children and adults with disabilities, and their families in achieving their desired quality of life by creating opportunities through comprehensive services for over 65 years.
Our Position: We are currently seeking a full-time (40 hrs) Recreational Respite Program Manager to provide oversight to the Recreational Respite Service individuals we support.
This position also involves:
+ Plans, organizes, and supervises all recreational activities, including but not limited to Family Supports and Services R.E.C.C., Waiver Recreational Respite, and Erie County Department of Mental Health Recreational Programs.
+ Creates monthly calendars for all Recreational programs, including but not limited to Family Supports and Services R.E.C.C., Waiver Recreational Respite, and Erie County Department of Mental Health Recreational Programs.
+ Provides recreational respite services to people we support as directed by the Coordinator of Community Supports.
+ Supervises direct care staff providing services and is responsible for the oversight of the delivery of these services and supports.
Our Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. No nights, no weekends and no holidays!
Our Rate of Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour based on experience.
Our Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service field PLUS one year of experience in the Human Service field.
OR
+ Associate's Degree PLUS three years of experience in the Human Service field.
OR
+ High School or equivalent diploma PLUS four years of experience in the Human Service field.
PLUS
+ Supervisory experience preferred.

Position Summary:
Provides oversight to Community Support Service individuals we support. Provides direct supervision to the direct care staff providing services. The Program Manager is responsible for the oversight of the delivery of these services and supports.
Reporting Relationship:
Receives direct supervision from the Coordinator of Community Supports. Provides supervision to Direct Service Professionals employed in within their respected areas.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
In Home Respite Program Manager Specific Duties:
+ + Provide in-home respite care to people we support as directed by Coordinator of Community Supports.
Site Based Respite Program Manager Specific Duties:
+ + Provides Site Based respite care to people we support as directed by Coordinator of Community Supports.
Recreational Respite Program Manager Specific Duties:
+ + Plans, organize and supervises all recreational activities, including but not limited to Family Supports and Services R.E.C.C., Waiver Recreational Respite, and Erie County Department of Mental Health Recreational Programs.
+ Creates monthly calendars for all Recreational programs, including but not limited to Family Supports and Services R.E.C.C., Waiver Recreational Respite, and Erie County Department of Mental Health Recreational Programs.
+ Provides recreational respite services to people we support as directed by Coordinator of Community Supports.
General Duties Across All Areas:
+ + Assists the Coordinator of Community Supports in oversight of Respite services.
+ Maintains interactions with people we support, their families, other collaterals and the community-at-large as appropriate.
+ Immediately notifies Coordinator of Community Supports of any safety, supervision, scheduling or related issues as they arise.
+ Completes and maintains all required documentation in individuals and agency records; assists in the maintenance of those records.
+ Monitors service hours provided to families and relays concerns to supervisor.
+ Monitors Respite Care Providers’ work schedules and schedule changes.
+ Monitors participant satisfaction and service delivery. Reports findings to Coordinator of Community Supports.
+ Assists the Coordinator of Community Supports in assessing families’ request for service and the delivery of that service.
+ Holds regular staff meetings, trainings, conferences and any other assigned meetings.
+ Coordinates interviews and is responsible for hiring, orientation, and termination of direct care staff. Provides supervision to all direct support staff as needed. Evaluates all direct care staff annually.
+ Assures confidentiality of information about people we support and their families.
+ Attends Life Plan Meetings as needed.
+ Completes routine paperwork responsibilities and other duties as assigned by Coordinator of Community Supports. Receives weekly and/or as needed supervision from the Coordinator of Community Supports.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field PLUS one year experience in the Human Service field. Experience can be a combination of paid and volunteer experience with a minimum of three months paid experience.
OR
Associate’s Degree PLUS three years experience in the Human Service field. Experience can be a combination of paid and volunteer experience with a minimum of one year paid experience.
OR
High School or equivalent diploma PLUS four years experience in the Human Service field. Experience can be a combination of paid and volunteer experience with a minimum of two year paid experience.

Supervisory experience preferred.

+ Equipment Operation:
The ability to operate business equipment; telephones, fax machines, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming, copiers, calculators, etc.
