Job Summary

The Sr. Developer role is essential for driving innovation and efficiency within our organization. With a focus on Python Cloud SQL and BigQuery the candidate will supply to developing scalable solutions that improve data processing capabilities. Working in a hybrid model the candidate will collaborate with multi-functional teams to deliver impactful results without the need for travel.

Responsibilities

+ Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Python to meet business requirements and improve operational efficiency.

+ Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to craft and implement robust data processing workflows using Cloud SQL.

+ Optimize existing systems and processes to improve performance and scalability ensuring flawless integration with cloud-based services.

+ Conduct detailed testing and debugging of applications to ensure reliability and accuracy in data handling and processing.

+ Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior developers encouraging a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

+ Analyze sophisticated data sets to identify trends and insights that can drive strategic decision-making and business growth.

+ Implement standard processes for code management and version control ensuring consistency and quality across all development projects.

+ Work closely with team members to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications and actionable solutions.

+ Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations maintaining data security and privacy at all times.

+ Participate in regular team meetings and supply to the development of project plans and timelines.

+ Stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud technologies and incorporate them into existing systems where applicable.

+ Facilitate seamless communication between technical and non-technical teams ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.

+ Drive innovation by exploring new tools and technologies that can enhance the companys data capabilities and competitive position.

Qualifications

+ Possess strong proficiency in Python programming with a proven record of developing sophisticated applications.

+ Demonstrate expertise in Cloud SQL with hands-on experience in managing and optimizing cloud-based databases.

+ Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and interpret large data sets optimally.

+ Show familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working in a collaborative team environment.

+ Have a solid understanding of data security principles and practices ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

+ Display good communication skills capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

+ Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science information technology or a related field with relevant certifications being a plus.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
