    Job Summary

    Looking for a highly experienced Senior Node.js Developer (More than 15 years) to architect develop and optimize scalable backend solutions. As a key technical leader you will drive the design of microservices mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge applications. This role requires deep expertise in Node.js system architecture cloud platforms and high-performance applications.

    Responsibilities

    Looking for a highly experienced Senior Node.js Developer (More than 15 years) to architect develop and optimize scalable backend solutions. As a key technical leader you will drive the design of microservices mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge applications. This role requires deep expertise in Node.js system architecture cloud platforms and high-performance applications.

     

    + Architect and develop highly scalable secure and efficient backend systems using Node.js

    + Design implement and optimize microservices architecture with event-driven systems

    + Lead high-level technical discussions setting coding standards and best practices.

    + Work with cross-functional teams (frontend DevOps product managers) to align business needs with technical execution.

    + Optimize databases for high availability and performance (PostgreSQL MySQL).

    + Oversee CI/CD pipelines containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure (AWS).

    + Implement and enforce security best practices authentication (OAuth JWT) and data protection strategies.

    + Conduct code reviews mentor junior and mid-level developers and drive a culture of excellence.

    + Monitor application performance conduct root-cause analysis and implement optimizations for scalability and resilience.

    + Stay ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends bringing innovation to the team.

    + More than 15 years of software development experience with at least 8 years in Node.js and backend development.

    + Expert in JavaScript and TypeScript with deep knowledge of asynchronous programming event loops and design patterns.

    + Strong experience in building and scaling microservices and distributed systems.

    + Proficiency with SQL databases (PostgreSQL MySQL).

    + Hands-on experience with message brokers (Pulsar Kafka).

    + Expertise in containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and DevOps practices.

    + Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda) is a plus.

    + Proficiency in automated testing (unit integration end-to-end) using Mocha or similar frameworks.

    + Strong leadership and mentoring skills with experience leading development teams.

    + Ability to drive architectural decisions and align business goals with technical solutions.

    + Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog).

    + Exposure to WMS Systems Mobile Applications Warehouse Automation

    Salary and Other Compensation:

    The annual salary for this position is between $140K - $155K depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

     

    This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
