Lead Java Full Stack Developer (Hybrid)

At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Small, forward-thinking engineering teams generate collective insight and comradery, thus increasing their ability to anticipate unforeseen development scope changes and maintain high quality results. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. Working in Cognizant Digital Engineering provides DevOps engineers consistent opportunities to push digital boundaries while growing their exposure to transformational technologies.

Roles, Responsibilities & Required qualifications.

+ Develop and maintain high-quality software applications using AWS SQL Spring Boot Angular JS Java and Javascript to meet business requirements.

+ Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements ensuring alignment with project goals.

+ Implement robust and scalable solutions that enhance system performance and user experience.

+ Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure software reliability and functionality.

+ Optimize application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning.

+ Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices into development processes.

+ Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and quality assurance.

+ Design and implement database solutions using mySQL to support application functionality and data integrity.

+ Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables ensuring timely completion of tasks.

+ Utilize Angular JS to create dynamic and responsive user interfaces that enhance user engagement.

+ Leverage Spring Boot to develop microservices architecture promoting modular and maintainable code.

+ Ensure seamless integration of software components facilitating smooth operation and user satisfaction. Qualifications

+ Demonstrate expertise in AWS SQL Spring Boot Angular JS Java and Javascript showcasing a strong technical foundation.

+ Possess a deep understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.

+ Exhibit proficiency in mySQL database management and optimization techniques.

+ Have experience in the Payer domain providing valuable insights into industry-specific challenges.

+ Show ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model balancing remote and in-office collaboration.

+ Display excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail ensuring high-quality deliverables.

+ Demonstrate strong communication skills facilitating effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 – $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
