**VCA Arroyo Grande Animal Hospital** is a 5 doctor, general practice, seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

What You'll Do:

+ Support veterinarians and technicians during exams and procedures

+ Handle and care for pets with compassion and confidence

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization in treatment and exam areas

+ Assist with patient intake, record-keeping, and client communication

+ Ensure a safe and calm environment for pets and their owners

What We're Looking For:

+ Experience in a veterinary or animal care setting.

+ A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic

+ Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure

+ Excellent communication and customer service skills

+ Willingness to learn and grow with the team

VCA Animal Hospitals offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays and sick days, health and well-being programs that provide resources and training.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $19-$22 per hour.
