Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a **Patient Care Coordinator** in **New Hyde Park, NY** ! This role is onsite. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration.

**Type:** Two - month contract, opportunity for extension or fulltime offer

**Schedule:** Mon, Wed, Thurs 9am to 5pm, Tues 11am to 7pm, Fri 8am to 4pm

**Pay:** $19.07 Per hour

**Specialty:** Endocrinology

Responsibilities of the Patient Care Coordinator:

• Greets patients, family members and guests with a friendly smile

• Assists patients with signing in and completing registration

• Enters and scans patients demographic and insurance information into Epic

• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefit information; informs patients of insurance benefits

• Collects co-payments and patient balances

• Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; directs calls and takes messages

• Assists physician and clinical staff by coordinating follow up care for patients; schedules referral appointments for patients and obtains authorization for diagnostic testing

• Sends patient records to primary care physician

• Assists with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications for the Patient Care Coordinator:

• High school education or equivalent experience

• Customer service experience and solid computer skills

• Medical office experience; Urgent Care experience

• Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans

• EPIC experience preferred but not required
