    Reimbursement Specialist jobs require candidates to maximize receipt of fee for service revenue through training, problem solving, advanced knowledge of health service, billing, payroll requirements, and implementation of quality assurance systems all within a health department environment.     **Shift:** Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM with overtime as needed!

    **Pay:** $19.00 per hour.

    Responsibilities for Reimbursement Specialist jobs include but are not limited to:

    • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Division’s computerized billing system and identifies and corrects complex billing, invoices or fee for service errors.

    • Monitors daily journals, logs and reports number and types of errors.

    • Receives cash, checks or other methods of payment and prepares daily deposits.

    • Prepares regular reports on deposits and unentered payments to assure quality of system procedures.

    • Determines account balances against payor source and against applicable program.

    Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for Reimbursement Specialist jobs:

    • Hight School Diploma or Equivalent

    • 4 years’ experience in medical billing or coding industry.

    • Electronic Health Records and claims processing software.

    • 1 year experience as medical/dental biller, coder, and collections with FQHC experience.

    Qualifications to be considered for Reimbursement Specialist jobs:

    • Computer literacy, math, basic accounting, and word processing skills.

    • Knowledge of medical terminology.

    • Effective communications skills.

    • Knowledge of payor rules and policies.

    **Pay Details:** $19.00 per hour
