• Housekeeper - Behavioral Health - All shifts

    STGi is seeking a Housekeeper to provide services at our Georgia War Veterans Home. GWVH will be opening a new unit that will be dedicated to the needs related to diagnoses of Veterans with PTSD, TBI, history of behavioral disorders, and substance use issues.     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Perform day-to-day activities of housekeeping as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor to assure the facility is maintained in a clean and comfortable manner.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    + Clean, disinfect equipment and supplies, monitor environment for potential hazards, clean vacant rooms as assigned, ensure proper disposal of infectious waste(s) into appropriate containers and other duties as assigned.

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    + Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

    + Work is typically performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

    + Work is performed on multi-level facilities.

    Required Skills

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

    + Effective English communication skills

    + Ability to understand basic housekeeping tasks consistent with facility priorities.

    + Professional demeanor with resident community

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    + Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

    NOTE:

    As part of orientation, selected candidates will receive safety care training.

     

    All shifts for Full-time and Part-time openings.

     

    This position is located at 2249 Vinson Highway SE, Milledgeville, GA.
