The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their fulltime Training Manager in the Office of Technical Education. Reporting to the Executive Director of Georgia Online Learning & Development, this position will design, implement, and evaluate the divisional training program to enhance skills and performance system-wide. The manager is responsible for complex activities and overseeing contribution toward divisional goals and objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and implement training strategies to align with learning management system and professional development opportunities for the system
• Responsible for maintenance and design of divisional website and associated resources
• Analyze content developer performance and make data-driven adjustments to training content development strategy
• Assists with responding to training related and other assigned helpdesk ticket inquiries
• Collaborates with other teams to ensure content consistency and effectiveness in training design and delivery
• Identify and assess training needs within the organization through various methods
• Determine the skills, knowledge, and behaviors required faculty and staff to excel in their roles
• Develop and design training program and material templates, including but not limited to, slide decks, guides, and surveys
• Ensure training programs align with organizational goals and strategic objectives
• Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and online courses
• Deliver training programs effectively, using various methods and technologies
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure they meet objectives
• Gather feedback from participants and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement
• Maintain awareness of the latest training trends, technologies, and best practices
• Develop and implement training evaluation procedures
• Manage relationships with external training providers
• Lead and motivate departmental staff involved in training activities
• Other duties and special projects as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree
Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference may be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, provide evidence of the following:
+ Proven track record of successful training program management
+ Webinar application (WebEx/Teams)
+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
• Ability to work with staff and faculty in integrating effective assessment practices
• Skill in planning and organizing projects
• Capacity to work in a team environment as a supervisor
• Excellent technical/technology/computer skills
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Skilled troubleshooter in a virtual learning environment
• Experience in usage of webinar type platforms
• Strong client-facing skills, assertiveness, strong communications skills, leadership, self-starter
• Proficiency in interpersonal relations and dealing with multiple agency stakeholders
• Superior prioritization, time management, communication, leadership and organizational skills
• Solid technology know-how, including the ability to quickly familiarize with new products
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and communicate barriers to progress
