Responsibilities
V2X specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have an opportunity for a Software Developer supporting the US Navy and FMS users. You will work with the newest software to integrate DoD trainers, simulators and platforms under the Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) construct utilizing state-of-the-art technology.Key Responsibilities:• Collaborating with team members to understand project requirements, user needs, and system architectures, and participating in solution design discussions.• Implementing software components and features according to technical specifications and project timelines, utilizing modern programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.• Participating in code reviews, providing feedback, and incorporating best practices to ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance.• Following cybersecurity guidelines and best practices to ensure the security and integrity of software systems, including implementing encryption, access controls, and secure communications.• Supporting testing, verification, and validation activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of deployed solutions.• Assisting with documentation tasks, including documenting software designs, development processes, and technical specifications, for upload to project repositories and documentation platforms.• Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, address technical challenges, and ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of software systems.

Qualifications
Education/Experience Requirements• Bachelor’s of Science in electrical or computer engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited institution. Coursework specializing in computer hardware and software is desired.• This position will require U.S. citizenship with a Secret Clearance• Six years’ experience with software development in the following C#, XAML, XAML, Java, HTML, CSS, C, C++, 3D Graphics, .NET, WINforms
Experience:• 5 years of practical experience in software systems engineering associated with modeling and simulation within the training and training systems domains.• 5 years of experience with software engineering functions such as, requirement analysis and definition, configuration management, quality assurance, unit and system level testing, reliability and maintainability, cost estimating, risk analysis/assessment, and human factors is required.• 5 years of experience with current and emerging software development methodologies, processes, and life-cycle models, (e.g. CMM, CMMI, IEEE-12207, Waterfall, and Spiral).• 5 years of experience with current and developing military equipment and systems.• 5 years of experience with a wide range of non-engineering, non-scientific information in the form of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Military Standards, DoD/DON/NA VAIR policies, directives, and instructions and must know the - applicability of these documents to assignments.• Six years’ experience with software development in the following C#, XAML, XAML, Java, HTML, CSS, C, C++, 3D Graphics, .NET, WINforms• Other Requirements• This position will require U.S. citizenship with a Secret Clearance

Business Partner/Effective Communicator: English language skills to communicate and negotiate with vendors.Strong communicator must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and orally.Ability to train, lead projects, direct employees.Customer service oriented, detail focused, pro-active behavior, multi-task capability.Software:Proficient with Microsoft Office Products to include: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.SharePointComputer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
Physical RequirementsLight work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
