URGENTLY HIRING: Senior Accountant (Consulting – QuickBooks Expert)If you're a self-starter with a passion for accounting and a knack for QuickBooks, we’d love to hear from you.

Duration: 2-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Accountant for an initial 2-month consulting engagement, with a strong possibility of extension. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is highly proficient in QuickBooks Online. You’ll play a key role in helping our client catch up on accounting tasks for several smaller entities that had been deprioritized due to staffing shortages. Your primary focus will be on month-end close activities, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. You will work closely with the Assistant Controller (the hiring manager for this role) and 3 other accounting professionals.

Responsibilities:

+ Manage and maintain the general ledger for multiple entities.

+ Prepare and post journal entries, including adjustments and accruals.

+ Perform account and bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

+ Conduct variance analysis and explain significant fluctuations.

+ Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts; monitor performance against targets.

+ Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.

+ Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax return preparation.

+ Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

+ Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

+ 3+ years of accounting experience, including GL, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.

+ Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.

+ Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.

+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

+ Consulting or contract experience is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr.
