Major Job Activities
Key Responsibilities:
+ 20% - Train, Advise, Assist, and Integrate IqAF weapons armament backshop operations with a focus on fleet health and munitions accountability.
+ 25% - Support repair and servicing of weapons alternate mission equipment including troubleshooting and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
+ 15% - Ensure availability of spare equipment to meet IqAF mission requirements.
+ 10% - Ensure proper use of technical publications, schematics, and specifications.
+ 10% - Recommend and guide modifications to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
+ 10% - Maintain accurate documentation and records to support mission and training efforts.
+ 10% - Collaborate with CLS/IqAF teams and support additional duties as assigned by Site Management.
Material & Equipment Directly Used
Weapons alternate mission equipment, test and diagnostic equipment, Microsoft Office programs, technical publications.
Working Environment
Deployed operational setting with workshop and backshop exposure; team-based, international environment.
Physical Activities
Manual handling of equipment; prolonged standing; standard backshop technician activities.
Qualifications
Education: USAF 7-skill level
Certifications: None specified; A&P certification or technical certifications desirable.
Experience: 8 to 10 years in F-16 Weapons Armament backshop operations; skilled on current F-16 systems.
Other Requirements: U.S. Citizen; eligible for Secret clearance; ability to travel worldwide including Middle East; experience with international partners preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Skills and Technology Used: Technical schematics, Microsoft Office, interpersonal and training skills.
