    Job Title: Credit AnalystJob Description

     

    We are seeking a diligent and analytical Credit Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing credit data to estimate the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to firms or individuals. This role involves providing quality service to internal customers and assessing creditworthiness to ensure compliance with sector standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide quality service to internal customers by undertaking risk assessment analysis of various types of lending proposals.

    + Analyze financial information, including statements, management accounts, and cash flow statements.

    + Develop models of credit information to predict patterns and trends using specialist statistical software.

    + Assess the creditworthiness of client companies.

    + Advise and recommend changes to policy and procedure.

    + Collaborate with other staff within the company, such as account managers and product specialists.

    + Ensure procedures comply with sector standards.

    + Stay informed about legal, compliance, and market-risk-related issues involved in credit approval.

    + Establish credit limitations on customer accounts.

    + Handle special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment.

    + Ensure timely collections in compliance with good customer service procedures.

    + Coordinate investigation of fraud and legal action.

    + Compile and analyze statistical data on fraudulent use of credit cards to develop procedures to deter abuses.

    + Assist management in formulating customer credit collection activities that maximize sales potential.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Knowledge of accounting software.

    + Effective presentation and communication skills with managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    + Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

    + Ability to take initiative and follow through with minimal supervision.

    + Capability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.

    + Bachelor's degree or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Positive, motivated, and team-oriented demeanor.

    + Experience in credit analysis and credit management.

    + Great attitude and thick skin when dealing with sales.

    + Knowledge of credit, customer service, credit risk, phone etiquette, communication, and people skills.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in an office environment, working within a three-person team. Hours are from 8 am to 5 pm on-site. This opportunity offers a perfect chance to grow within the company and department.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
