Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing our production processes. You will be responsible for onboarding new parts for first-run production release jobs, creating programs, tooling, and setup sheets. Additionally, you will support the development of a CAD/CAM structure, assist in fixture and work holding design, and drive continuous improvement in various areas. Your expertise will also be instrumental in onboarding new machines, creating training programs, and supporting existing production processes.
Responsibilities
+ Onboard new parts for first-run production release jobs by developing programs, tooling, and setup sheets.
+ Develop and optimize first-run production release jobs.
+ Support the development of a CAD/CAM structure for production processes.
+ Assist in fixture and work holding design.
+ Drive continuous improvement of programs, file management, tooling, work holding, and setup sheets.
+ Specify and assist with the purchasing of new machines to support growth.
+ Onboard new machines for production by developing programs, tooling, and setup sheets.
+ Create and conduct training programs to support new machine implementation.
+ Support existing work centers (including Swiss, Mills) as needed.
+ Modify setup sheets, blueprints, gauging, and G.D.&T. for existing production.
+ Collaborate with the Quality Department to optimize inspection plans, frequencies, and testing methods.
+ Develop preventive maintenance requirements.
+ Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
+ Contribute to the organization's goals by exploring opportunities to add value to the machine shop.
+ Support the Quality Management System and ISO 9001 requirements.
+ Maintain safe operations.
Essential Skills
+ Manufacturing engineering expertise.
+ Lean manufacturing knowledge.
+ Experience in manufacturing processes and engineering.
+ A.S. Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
+ 10+ years of experience in lathe, mill, and/or Swiss machining and programming.
+ Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of achieving goals on time.
+ Superior communication skills and ability to work within a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Capable of handling multiple projects with varying priorities while maintaining project schedules.
+ Experienced with CAD/CAM, GD&T, and machined part manufacturing tolerancing.
+ Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment is beneficial.
Work Environment
The role involves working in a manufacturing environment with a focus on machining and programming. You will be utilizing advanced technologies such as CAD/CAM for program development. The work schedule may involve varying shifts to support production needs. Safety and quality are top priorities, with adherence to ISO 9001 standards. Professional attire is expected in the workplace.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $55.00/hr.
