Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
Provide manufacturing engineering and technical support to other Engineering teams while working cross-functionally with Quality, Tooling Engineers, Maintenance, Process Engineers, and Project Engineers. Support the Production teams to ensure daily production achieves safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost objectives.
Responsibilities
+ Solve problems on the factory floor and act as the primary technical resource to resolve production issues after they have been escalated through the factory.
+ Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis activities, and implement long-term solutions to prevent re-occurrence.
+ Develop and implement process improvements.
+ Provide daily technical support to production to achieve department goals for safety, quality, on-time delivery, scrap, efficiency, and cost improvements.
+ Drive continuous improvements using Lean Manufacturing methodologies to improve these same metrics.
+ Generate and maintain all manufacturing documentation up-to-date including BOMs, specification changes, ECOs, reports, print revisions, fixturing, and protocols.
+ Lead formal root cause investigations and implement resulting corrective actions in a timely manner, confirming effectiveness through statistical analysis.
+ Interface with suppliers as required for incoming components, outsourced services, and new process equipment.
+ Write and revise protocols and reports, both internally and externally, for validation.
+ Complete process FMEAs as required and implement and review process controls.
+ Contribute as a member of the Material Review Board.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.S.)
+ Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing Engineer experience in plastics injection molding or blown film.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills to identify, gather, and analyze information to develop solutions and resolve problems in a timely manner.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
+ Highly collaborative with strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Support the factory with a superior level of customer service and responsiveness.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand for moderate periods of time in an office and factory setting. Regular use of hand tools, micrometers, and microscopes is required. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, will regularly lift up to 20 pounds, and occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $52.88/hr.
