    Job Description

    Blue Cross NC / CuraCor Group is focused on driving improvements in healthcare, affordability, and access through investments and partnerships with innovative organizations.

     

    We are seeking a collaborative leader who will drive both strategic value and financial value for a nearly $1 billion strategic investment portfolio that is a combination of private equity and venture capital fund investments and non-control, direct equity investments in innovative healthcare companies.

     

    This exciting role requires an individual who can lead multiple initiatives to analyze, report, and optimize the value of the strategic portfolio. The ideal candidate will have experience driving value in three primary areas:

    Private Market Investment Management

    + Managing investments in, and relationships with, private equity and venture capital funds, as well as direct and indirect portfolio companies.

    Financial Reporting & Analysis

    + Leading financial analyses of the portfolio assets to maximize value and optimize liquidity as needed to support internal growth initiatives.

    Partnership Development

    + Collaborating with internal and external parties to identify opportunities to bring innovative technology and services to improve healthcare.

    What You Will Do

    + Oversee and maximize the performance of the strategic portfolio.

    + Lead the monitoring, tracking, and reporting of strategic, financial, and operational metrics.

    + Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including private equity and venture capital firms and their portfolio companies, to develop and/or optimize partnerships that bring innovation to healthcare and drive financial value.

    + Support capital allocation decisions in the strategic portfolio, including investments in new funds and evaluating liquidity opportunities.

    + Provide strategic insights to internal stakeholders through proprietary and third-party research.

    + Develop and deliver periodic reports and updates for the Board of Trustees, executive leadership, and internal committees.

    What You Bring

    + Bachelor's degree or advanced degree

    + 10+ years of experience in private market investments, financial analysis, and partnership development

    + 5 years of experience leading teams and/or directly managing staff

    + In lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience in related field

    + Experience working with private equity and/or venture capital firms

    + Proven track record of creating, maintaining, and enhancing cross-functional relationships and communicating effectively with senior management

    + Self-starter who can lead a team with a high level of autonomy

    + Strong qualitative and quantitative skills

    + Strong presentation development and communication skills

    Salary Range

     

    At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

    $169,300.00 - $321,300.00
