As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for performing tests and measurements using manual or automatic test equipment and standard, peculiar, or precision instrumentation. You will evaluate the data obtained from these tests and troubleshoot and repair defects in RF/Radar equipment, which requires knowledge of circuitry interrelation. Additionally, you will perform computer-controlled or software application-driven testing and troubleshooting, making calculations involving algebraic equations and trigonometric functions. Your role will also include making necessary equipment modifications based on original schematics and wiring diagrams, preparing written reports, maintaining electronic and electro-mechanical test documentation, identifying drawing deviations, and initiating corrective actions.
Responsibilities
+ Perform tests and measurements using manual or automatic test equipment.
+ Evaluate data obtained from tests.
+ Troubleshoot and repair defects in RF/Radar equipment.
+ Perform computer-controlled or software application-driven testing and troubleshooting.
+ Make calculations involving algebraic equations and trigonometric functions.
+ Modify equipment using original schematics and wiring diagrams.
+ Prepare and submit written reports.
+ Maintain electronic and electro-mechanical test documentation.
+ Identify drawing deviations and initiate corrective action.
+ Perform software system test and integration procedures.
+ Communicate software test failures to Engineering.
+ Maintain operational software by modifying existing and installing new software releases.
+ Make all connections and troubleshoot basic PC and small network installations.
+ Plan working procedure and determine assembly sequence for hardware and components to printed circuit boards.
+ Develop new assembly and wiring techniques as necessary.
Essential Skills
+ Demonstrated ability to test and troubleshoot complex circuits.
+ Understanding and working knowledge of computers, network protocols, and test program applications.
+ Competence in manufacturing information and skills requirements.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and operate test equipment on complex electro-mechanical products, specifically RF/Radar Systems.
+ Ability to troubleshoot hardware down to the component level.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ A.A. or A.S. Degree in Electronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
+ Must have or be eligible for US security clearance.
Work Environment
This position is located in a facility specializing in the design, test, and manufacturing of state-of-the-art Radar Systems for military applications. The facility includes Production/Manufacturing as well as Life Cycle Sustainment Operations (LCSO) for Repair & Maintenance. It offers a dynamic work environment focused on innovation and precision.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.75/hr.
