Job Title: Principal Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

The Principal Manufacturing Engineer will play a pivotal role in growing and leading the manufacturing team, which is currently expanding due to a significant contract award. In this position, you will develop processes, procedures, tools, and instructions to build advanced RF systems. You will lead advanced projects requiring assembly, integration, and testing of assemblies. A creative leader in assessing design requirements and resolving conflicting requirements, you will interface daily with production technicians, engineering teams, and leadership. Additionally, you will develop standards and materials to train technicians and grow the manufacturing engineering skill set.

Responsibilities

+ Develop processes, procedures, tools, and instructions for advanced RF systems.

+ Lead advanced projects for assembly, integration, and testing.

+ Assess design requirements and resolve conflicting requirements creatively.

+ Interface daily with production technicians, engineering teams, and leadership.

+ Develop standards and materials to train technicians.

+ Grow the manufacturing engineering skill set.

Essential Skills

+ 12+ years experience in manufacturing or process engineering.

+ Experience with structures and electromechanical assembly.

+ Experience in change management.

+ New Product Integration (NPI).

+ Full lifecycle experience from 'cradle to grave'.

+ Process improvement and continuous improvement.

+ Radio frequency (RF) expertise.

+ Lean Six Sigma certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Continuous improvements expertise.

+ RF experience and chips manufacturing.

+ Aerospace experience preferred; open to automotive and medical device industries.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced, offering plenty of room for growth and collaboration with a personable team member. You will be part of a small, tight-knit team scaling from prototype volume to mid-volume and eventually to program-level volume. This position may lead the charge in growth mode as the team expands to a new building. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
