Software Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Science or 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree. A current DoD Secret clearance is required at the time of application, with the potential to acquire a DoD Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

+ Apply systems engineering principles and processes to software development.

+ Participate in the full software life cycle including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and integration.

+ Conduct requirements analysis and decomposition, and generate requirement specifications.

+ Utilize embedded systems software development, integration, and testing expertise.

+ Employ excellent communication and technical writing skills to document processes and outcomes.

+ Use DOORS or equivalent requirements management databases effectively.

Essential Skills

+ Strong knowledge of sysml, MBSE, and model-based systems engineering.

+ Proficiency in C++ and experience with DOORS.

+ Ability to generate requirements traceability matrix.

+ Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages like SysML/UML.

+ Experience with developing software requirements specifications.

+ Competence in requirements verification and qualification testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

+ Knowledge of CAMEO.

+ Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.

+ Embedded systems software development, integration, and test experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
