Job Title: QA Technician
Overview
We are seeking a Quality Technician to join a growing food manufacturing facility on the night shift. This role is essential in maintaining food safety and hygiene standards across the plant, with a focus on sanitation, environmental monitoring, and compliance with regulatory and internal quality systems.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in sanitation, GMPs, and environmental monitoring who wants to be part of a collaborative and expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
+ Manage and enforce hygiene-related programs including sanitation, zoning, allergen control, pest control, and foreign body prevention.
+ Conduct GMP, pest control, and foreign body inspections across the facility.
+ Lead environmental monitoring efforts and analyze data to identify and eliminate potential risks.
+ Support food safety risk assessments and corrective/preventive action planning.
+ Collaborate with contractors and project managers to uphold hygiene standards during facility changes or expansions.
+ Provide training and coaching on hygiene and sanitation practices to production staff.
+ Maintain detailed records in compliance with ISO and regulatory standards.
+ Participate in HACCP reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field
+ OR equivalent work experience in a food manufacturing quality or sanitation role
+ Experience with hygiene and sanitation programs in a regulated manufacturing environment
+ Working knowledge of cGMPs, FDA requirements, and environmental monitoring practices
+ Strong understanding of food safety principles and risk assessment
+ Ability to lead audits, analyze trends, and implement improvements
Work Environment
+ Split between production floor, lab, and office settings
+ Clean, well-maintained facility with proper PPE required
+ Collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.21 - $35.58/hr.
