Roadway Inspector

We’re hiring a Field Inspector to support a large-scale transportation infrastructure program. In this role, you’ll conduct in-person roadway inspections to assess surface conditions, signage, drainage, and vegetation along roadways. You’ll document your findings in real-time using a company-issued tablet and help ensure that roadway conditions meet safety and maintenance standards.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys independent, field-based work, has a strong attention to detail, and takes pride in contributing to public safety and roadway upkeep. A company vehicle will be provided - must be able to pass MVR!
Responsibilities:
+ Travel to assigned areas within a designated district to perform detailed visual inspections of public roadways
+ Identify and document conditions such as drainage issues, faded striping, vegetation overgrowth, damaged guardrails, signs, fencing, and more
+ Enter inspection data on-site using a digital reporting system (tablet provided)
+ Follow weekly plans to ensure full coverage of designated inspection zones
+ Coordinate updates with supervisors and municipal representatives as needed
+ Uphold all safety protocols in accordance with company and DOT standards
What We’re Looking For:
+ Experience working outdoors in a self-directed or semi-autonomous role
+ Strong attention to detail and a commitment to thorough documentation
+ Solid work ethic, reliability, and ability to stay on task when working alone or with a partner
+ Comfortable using a tablet or digital devices for data entry
+ Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout a designated area
+ Previous experience in roadway maintenance, landscaping, construction, or inspection is a plus—but not required

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
