Job Title: Associate Architect

Job Description

The Associate Architect plays a vital role in supporting Project Architects and Managers, contributing to the documentation process, and producing site plans and contract documents that align with building codes and zoning regulations. This position offers opportunities to assist in conceptual design studies and create graphic presentations for those who are capable and interested. The role includes participation in construction administration and site visits for local projects, focusing on both core/shell and interior projects.

Responsibilities

+ Assist Project Architects and Managers with project documentation.

+ Produce site plans and contract documents in compliance with building codes and zoning regulations.

+ Contribute to conceptual design studies and graphic presentations.

+ Participate in construction administration and site visits for local projects.

+ Work on core/shell and interior architectural projects.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in Revit for producing construction documents required

+ Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and architectural documentation.

+ Experience in creating wall, section, elevation, and floor plans.

+ Utilization of AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Accredited Architecture degree.

+ On track to licensure.

+ MUST HAVE 3-5 years of experience in a traditional architecture firm.

+ Experience in retail and commercial projects.

+ Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and 3D Studio Max is a plus.

Work Environment

The firm is located in the vibrant West Loop area, offering an open-concept office with ample natural light and dedicated workspaces for each employee. The team enjoys a lively and fast-paced culture, fostering close relationships and community involvement. The work schedule includes four days in the office and one day remote, promoting work-life balance. Expected hours are from 8-9 AM to 5-6 PM, with flexibility requiring communication with the team. The office is conveniently surrounded by numerous restaurants and amenities, providing a dynamic and engaging work atmosphere.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.
