Job Title: Senior Manager - Operations
Job Description
The Senior Manager - Operations serves as the Organizational Development point of contact for the leadership team, providing focused consulting in workforce planning, organizational development, leadership development, succession planning, and consultant management. This role involves leading corporate initiatives, assessing issues to generate solutions, and managing in a shared services environment. The position combines functional and strategic work to support overall business and strategic goals, demonstrating exceptional business acumen and understanding of key business strategies.
Responsibilities
+ Enhance and build the capability of the business by incorporating the people component into strategic planning and development.
+ Support change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and successful implementation of new organizational talent processes and systems.
+ Advise leadership on talent programs and their impact on the business, utilizing data and analytics to measure effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
+ Partner with leadership and Consultant Management to assess, select, and develop colleagues for succession planning programs.
+ Create leadership development plans and staffing plans to support the overall business goals.
+ Provide individualized executive coaching to help drive high-performance teams.
+ Execute and participate in organizational talent priorities and strategic projects.
+ Collaborate with other OD/Talent Management and People Strategy COEs to enhance service levels by delivering organizational talent tools and processes.
+ Demonstrate behavior that promotes an inclusive work environment and supports operational activities that foster inclusivity.
+ Execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training colleagues; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining colleagues; and resolving problems.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in operations management, leadership development, workforce planning, talent acquisition, change management, and organization development.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field (Masters preferred).
+ 5-10 years of experience in Organizational/Talent Development within an Engineering Services firm.
+ Willingness to travel up to 40%.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Use of PeopleSoft is a plus.
+ Current knowledge of Organizational Development best practices and tools.
+ Proven ability to handle multiple projects, be self-motivated, and work with minimal supervision.
+ Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
+ Prior management experience preferred.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Exceptional client service, organizational, and time management skills.
Work Environment
The role involves working in a dynamic shared services environment, with a focus on strategic organizational development. The position may require travel up to 40%, and proficiency in various software tools such as Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft. The pay range for this position is $99600.00 - $149400.00/yr.
