Job Title: 3rd Shift Controls Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled 3rd Shift Controls Technician for a tier 1 manufacturer located in Holland. The role involves troubleshooting and editing PLC equipment and ABB robots, with a strong emphasis on excellent communication and documentation skills. Understanding safety standards, hydraulics, and pneumatics is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot and edit PLC equipment, specifically Allen Bradley PLCs.

+ Troubleshoot and edit ABB robots.

+ Read and interpret AutoCAD electrical schematics.

+ Document and communicate technical issues and solutions effectively.

+ Adhere to safety standards and protocols.

+ Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in PLC troubleshooting and editing, specifically with Allen Bradley.

+ Experience in troubleshooting ABB robots.

+ Proficiency in reading AutoCAD electrical schematics.

+ Strong communication and documentation skills.

+ Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate's degree or equivalent technical training.

+ Experience in the automotive industry (highly preferred).

+ Knowledge of robotics, vision systems, and programming.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and relatively clean, though it can be noisy. The role requires prolonged standing for at least 8 hours, but up to 12 hours per day. The position involves lifting objects weighing up to 35 pounds multiple times per hour and repetitive bending, twisting, turning, lifting, and the use of hands for gripping, grasping, pinching, and squeezing. The position offers a 75 cent off-shift premium, one week of vacation, and 6 holidays. Occasional weekend work may be required, with an expectation of around 15 hours of overtime per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
