    Job Description

    We are seeking a Software Developer to support a Navy-focused IRAD program. This role emphasizes software development, integration, and hands-on problem-solving within a Linux-based environment. The ideal candidate will bring in C++, scripting capabilities, and a strong aptitude for debugging and manual testing in complex systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Design, develop, and maintain software components in C++ for Linux-based systems.

    + Integrate software modules and troubleshoot issues across a distributed architecture.

    + Perform manual testing and validation of software functionality and performance.

    + Write and maintain scripts in Go, Python, or JavaScript to support development and integration tasks.

    + Analyze and resolve software defects, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-5+ years of professional experience in C++ development on Linux operating systems.

    + Experience with software integration and manual testing.

    + Scripting experience in Go, Python, or JavaScript.

    + Eligibility for a U.S. Secret Clearance.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

    + Experience with containerized environments such as Docker or Podman.

    + Familiarity with Agile development and DevSecOps practices.

    + Experience in Navy or DoD software systems.

    + Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines.

    Work Environment

    Located at a site with over 1500 personnel in Manassas, VA, this role offers a flexible schedule with options like 4/10s, 9/80, or a standard 5-day, 40-hour week. All work will be conducted onsite. The site includes amenities such as a cafeteria, intramural sports, gym, garden plots, and walking trails, fostering a vibrant and collaborative atmosphere.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
