Job Title: Software Engineer - Individual Contributor

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to design, develop, test, debug, and implement operating systems components, software tools, and utilities. You will be responsible for determining systems software design requirements and ensuring successful implementation and monitoring of system improvements to enhance efficiency. This role is an individual contributor position that requires independent work with minimal supervision. A university degree or extensive practical knowledge gained through experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

+ Design, develop, test, debug, and implement operating systems components and software tools.

+ Determine systems software design requirements.

+ Ensure successful implementation and monitoring of system improvements to increase efficiency.

+ Generate systems software engineering policies, standards, and procedures.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in C++ and C programming languages.

+ Strong understanding of embedded programming with C and C++.

+ Knowledge of RTOS, Kernel, Device Drivers, and Network stacks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge or experience with QNX or regulated software development is preferred.

+ Familiarity with operations of serial buses such as SPI, I2C, and USB.

Work Environment

This role requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts within your discipline. The position demands the ability to make judgements based on practice and previous experience. You will work independently, utilizing your expertise to ensure the successful completion of your tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
