Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
A family-owned company is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to handle a variety of facilities tasks related to the building, equipment, and boilers. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns, and executing projects around the facility. This position is roughly 60% mechanical and 40% electrical, focusing on systems such as boilers, chillers, RTUs, steam heaters, ovens, pumps, belts, and mechanical systems. The technician will also engage in MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum as needed, along with plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and touchups of the building.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventative maintenance and handle breakdowns on facility equipment.
+ Conduct mechanical and electrical tasks, focusing on boilers, chillers, RTUs, steam heaters, ovens, pumps, belts, and mechanical systems.
+ Engage in MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum as required.
+ Undertake plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and building touchups as needed.
+ Perform light PMs on forklifts and overhead cranes, subcontract higher-level repairs or electrical tasks.
+ Ensure all maintenance tasks within the building are completed and coordinate with vendors when necessary.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
+ Special boilers license or willingness to obtain.
+ Mechanical maintenance and electrical maintenance proficiency.
+ Experience maintaining HVAC units.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Leadership experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
+ General plumbing, construction, painting, drywall experience.
+ Low pressure boilers license.
+ EPA certification, forklift, and overhead crane maintenance experience.
+ Experience in a plating environment.

Work Environment
Work hours are from 6AM-4:30PM Monday to Thursday and 6AM-12PM on Fridays. The facility spans 80,000 square feet and is very clean and well-lit, though certain areas may have chemical odors. There is no air conditioning, but numerous fans are running to maintain airflow.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr.
