    Job Title: Warehouse/Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries, moving them to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks, as well as into railroad cars, trucks, or storage facilities. Forklift Operators handle construction materials, including shingles, plywood, insulation, and plumbing supplies. You will use a scan gun for inventory counts and maintenance, and collaborate with warehouse associates to deliver accurate and speedy customer service.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate forklifts to load and unload materials.

    + Transport goods to storage areas and loading docks.

    + Conduct inventory counts and maintain inventory using scan guns.

    + Work as part of a team to provide excellent customer service.

    + Deliver construction materials to designated locations.

    + Provide customer service as needed.

    + Drive a box truck after the contract role, requiring one year of box truck driving experience.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience operating forklifts (sit-down models).

    + Warehouse experience.

    + Proven attention to detail, teamwork, great attendance, and reliability.

    + Experience with RF scanner guns.

    + Ability to unload trailers by hand.

    + Capability to lift up to 50lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 6 months to 1 year of box truck driving experience.

    + Knowledge of the local area including Springfield and Bend.

    Work Environment

     

    This position is based in a smaller branch that excels in sales, generating over a million in sales monthly. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 4:30pm, with flexibility needed for early starts and late finishes. Expect to work 45-48 hours per week, with early morning starts (as early as 4am) when driving.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eugene, Oregon.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
