    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    Join our production team in an exciting new collaboration with Ford. As a General Production Worker, you will be assembling materials, operating machines, and performing quality inspections. Your role will involve lifting components off the line, inspecting them for defects, and preparing them for shipment. Additionally, you will help maintain a clean and safe working environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble materials and operate machinery on the production line.

    + Inspect parts for defects such as scratches, paint marks, and dents.

    + Package inspected parts for shipment.

    + Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 6 months of recent experience in a manufacturing role such as production worker, operator, assembler, or warehouse position.

    + Ability to lift 40 lbs, including car hoods made of plastic and foam.

    + Experience in visual inspection, identifying defects in parts.

    + Proven longevity at past jobs, with 8 months or longer at the last three positions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanical skills.

    + Experience in machine operating.

    Work Environment

     

    Work the 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with some weeks requiring 6-7 days. The work environment is undergoing improvements for cleanliness. The team consists of a 6-person operation, with you overseeing the team. Dress code includes work pants, work shirt, closed-toed shoes, safety glasses, and face protection.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TROY, MI.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.70 - $16.70/hr.
