Entry Level PM Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Preventative Maintenance Technicians for both 1st and 2nd shifts. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct preventative maintenance and basic reactive maintenance on various machines within the plant. You will spend approximately 70% of your time on preventative tasks such as lubrication, greasing, and part replacements. The remaining 30% will involve responding to reactive line calls and troubleshooting equipment using tools like voltmeters.

Responsibilities

+ Complete detailed preventative maintenance schedules for machines across the campus.

+ Work on equipment including industrial saws, hand and power tools, welders, torches, plasma cutters, hoists, and material handling equipment.

+ Lubricate bearings and check oil levels on machines.

+ Replace faulty parts with new ones.

+ Follow blueprints when available.

+ Use voltmeters or multi-meters for machine troubleshooting.

+ Perform mechanical troubleshooting on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

+ Collaborate with maintenance technicians on complex breakdowns.

+ Assist team members with various projects throughout the plant.

Essential Skills

+ At least 1 year of mechanical experience in fields such as automotive, industrial, or diesel.

+ Experience with motors, pumps, and valves.

+ At least 1 year of preventative maintenance experience including lubing, greasing, changing oil, and swapping parts.

+ Ability to manage time effectively and be a self-starter.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in industrial maintenance.

+ Experience in electrical troubleshooting.

+ Willingness to learn and grow within the company, with opportunities to advance from 'Machines Tech I' to 'Maintenance Tech III'.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Goshen, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $47840.00/yr.
