Job Description:
We are seeking an entry-level Power Plant Operator to support the safe and efficient operation of a commercial multi-unit power generation facility. This role involves operating and maintaining industrial equipment in both Combined Cycle and Coal-Fired power plants on a 24/7 rotating shift schedule.
Responsibilities:
+ Operate and monitor Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Combustion Turbines, Boilers, and Steam Turbines.
+ Perform emergency operations to maintain electric service and protect plant equipment.
+ Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
+ Inspect and test plant facilities to ensure operational integrity.
+ Log operational data and report anomalies to appropriate departments.
+ Perform compliance testing and maintain records.
+ Operate mobile and stationary heavy equipment (e.g., dozers, haul trucks, conveyors).
+ Execute plant procedures and respond to alarms as needed.
+ Assist with semi-skilled mechanical maintenance tasks.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
+ Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude.
+ Ability to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
+ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
+ Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
+ Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Technical training or experience in industrial or utility environments is a plus.
+ Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.
