SMX is hiring a mid-level Operations Specialist to contribute to the secure and efficient operation of DevSecOps pipelines supporting a Federal customer. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering scalable, secure, and automated support to application development teams. Join a growing program that supports a national-level transformation in personnel vetting IT systems.
Essential Duties:
+ Operate and maintain CI/CD pipeline infrastructure and related tooling.
+ Assist development teams in onboarding and troubleshooting within the DevSecOps environment.
+ Implement automated deployment and monitoring solutions to improve release quality and speed.
+ Support configuration and tuning of operational tools and environments.
+ Track and report key performance indicators and ensure compliance with operational SLAs.
+ Help ensure alignment with federal cybersecurity and compliance standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
+ BA/BS degree and 5+ years of operations, DevOps, or infrastructure experience.
+ Familiarity with GitLab pipelines, Jira, and related automation tools.
+ Working knowledge of secure cloud environments, preferably AWS GovCloud.
+ Understanding of federal cybersecurity policies and STIGs.
+ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Desired Skills & Experience
+ Exposure to RMF or cATO environments.
+ Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
+ DevSecOps or cloud certifications.

The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications. The proposed salary for this position is:
$86,000—$143,200 USD
